As part of the business mission of Indian enterprises to Russia, organized by the Embassy of India and the Indian agency Pharmexcil, a meeting was held in Moscow between representatives of Perm Region and entrepreneurs representing pharmaceutical companies in India. The meeting was attended by over 20 representatives of Indian pharmaceutical companies.
The economic potential of Perm Region at the meeting was presented by the Director General of the Regional Investment Development Agency Pavel Noskov.
“The interest of representatives of the Indian pharmaceutical industry in the Kama region is associated with several factors,” said Pavel Noskov. - First of all, this is personnel potential. A unique advantage of our region is the presence of a medical university and a pharmaceutical academy, which are in demand by students from India. In addition, Perm Region has a favorable geographical position, providing access to the main transport arteries - air, water, railway, which allows you to build a logistics distribution of products. Also, Indian entrepreneurs appreciated the development of high-tech industries in the region and the active organization of industrial sites, to which foreign business is increasingly interested. We invited Indian entrepreneurs to one of them - the industrial park "Kultaevo".
Industrial Park "Kultaevo" is located 10 km from Perm, near the international airport. The area of the park is 19 hectares. By organizing such an industrial site, the regional authorities incurred the costs of organizing all the necessary infrastructure, including roads, not just to the borders of the land, but directly to the business object itself, which will subsequently allow entrepreneurs to reduce energy costs and personnel by several time. In addition, for residents of the industrial park, property tax is cut in half and income tax by a quarter.
During the meeting, according to Pavel Noskov, the main requests of Indian business were aimed at supporting projects at startup and marketing assistance: “These are exactly the options that the Agency provides to investors in the region,” Pavel Noskov emphasized. The Director General added that the meeting resulted in a discussion of the schedule of the visit of Indian business representatives to the region for a detailed study of cooperation opportunities.
